ABOUT THE FILM
FUN ON EARTH is a short film written by JESSE GORDON based on his award winning feature screenplay by the same title - a sci-fi romantic comedy about a guy who gets a job at a restaurant run by aliens. The short was produced by Reuben Lim both as tool for getting the feature off the ground, and as stand-alone narrative statement. To download the FEATURE ONE-SHEET, click here.
FUN ON EARTH (the short) stars the Alexi Wasser (ART SCHOOL CONFIDENTIAL, FACTORY GIRL, DIRT) and Sterling Jones (THE OC). The soundtrack features beautiful music by Alex Lilly and a song by her band OBI BEST (formerly known as COLORFORMS), who recently released their first album to high acclaim. Prosthetic effects for the insane face-melting scene were built by special effects guru Vincent Guastini (REQUIEM FOR A DREAM, DOGMA, SCARY MOVIE(s)). The film features mind-bending animation by artist Jay Weston Saul who we discovered on YouTube. The short was made possible in part by the Panavision Emerging Filmmakers Grant and shot on Super-16 Fuji film by Aasulav Wolf Austad.
