“The Iceman”

(YOUTUBE!) A prototype made from a story by my five-year-old son Sam. Along with his four-year-old brother, Levi, we shot it in our front yard in Topanga Canyon Calif. over two days. Sam and I cut and finished the film as a homeschooling project. The story is totally, 100% his, and that’s his voice telling it as well. I am developing a TV-show based on the idea of kids coming up with stories and then making them with the help of grown-up filmmakers. Because kids are natural filmmakers already, and everyone can learn something in the process!

“HOCKEY MONKEY”

(NICKELODEON) The first of three music videos comissioned by Nick’s legendary variety show KA-BLAM!, this one for the hockey-band (yes, hockey-band) THE ZAMBONIS. This video has become a cult favorite on YouTube - show it to your kids and you’ll see why! Directed by Jesse Gordon in collaboration with The Ink Tank/Asterisk Animation.

“DR. WORM”

(NICKELODEON) Also for KA-BLAM!, the first of two for kids’ (and non-kids’) superband THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS. Directed by Jesse Gordon in collaboration with The Ink Tank/Asterisk Animation.

“GAWAIN’S WORD”

(PBS) A recurring segment for BETWEEN THE LIONS, the learning show from the creators of SESAME STREET. In each segment, two knights crash together to form a word. In this case the word is “Sleep”. Directed by Jesse Gordon in collaboration with The Ink Tank/Asterisk Animation.

“SLOPPY POP”

(PBS) Another cult favorite, also for BETWEEN THE LIONS. Learning how to read has never been so much fun (or so messy!). Directed by Jesse Gordon in collaboration with The Ink Tank/Asterisk Animation.
